Welcome to Ruby and the Whale!

I'm Rowan, and together with my cat I run Ruby and the Whale, .

I enjoy folk music, backpacking, and eating. I live in a small city in Canada, with my two rats, two cats, ten plants and a snake. I spend my time running Traveler's Tree Jewelry and working at a tiny flower shop. When I'm not staying home to save for a banjo, I like to stay at home anyways.

Top 5 favourite bands: First Aid Kit, The Cure, Florence and the Machine, Modest Mouse, Paramore, and The Beatles. Oh and Lady Gaga.

Guilty pleasure: Staying in bed all day watching netflix.

Favourite Book: Anything by Chuck Palahniuk or Dean Koontz. And Inkheart by Cornella Funke is a childhood favourite.

Hobbies: Pretending to be adventurous, but mostly tea and walks.
