Tea Time: Honey & Tea

*** There are going to be some changes to this blog, I want to have better and more personal content! The first new weekly post will be Tea Time! Where I will be showcasing local tea businesses and tea accessories. Because tea is awesome. That is all. *****

                             Honey & Tea

Honey & Tea is a local business that sells ... honey and tea. Mostly tea. They even sell cast iron tea pots and glass teacups! They sell teas to make you relax, to energize or soothe! I am definitly going to get me some relax tea! They also have organic and traditional tea. Honey & Tea is located in Oshawa, Ontario and give opportunity for the homeless and at risk youth. So you can buy tea and feel good about not only investing in local businesses but also because of how you are helping the community!

All Photo's are courtesy of Honey & Tea.

I was in no way paid for this post - but that would be nice! - I just really like this tea. And it's local!

Cheers!

Artist Spotlight: Tarmasz Tatoo

Tarmasz is an artist based out of Paris, France. She is an illustrator and tattoo artist who creates folky, dreamy work. I would fly to Paris JUST to get tattooed by her. (I have a running list in my head of global artists I want to ink me!). Here are my favourite tattoos that she has done, I LOVE the cuckoo clock one.

What do you think of Tarmasz?

Traveler's Tree at Faerie Fest

Can I just say, that finding out about faerie fest was one of the greatest enlightenment I've ever had? People dressing up as fairies, trolls, elves, mermaids, knights and everything in between. There was jousting and vendors and a pub called the trolls feet. I even had a knight in shining armor ask for my number, he didn't call.

Traveler's Tree
is my baby! I make handcrafted jewelry and sell on etsy, but I also do a lot of festivals during the summer!

This is my booth ! I sold my jewelry, Traveler's Tree and got to meet all sorts of fun people. There was even a lady going around with a barrel of pickles yelling, "Pickles! Get your pickles! Thick, juicy pickles."

I was a really hot day, I couldn't even imagine what it was like for that person in the dragon costume.

I love henna so much. it takes a while of sitting and even longer for it to dry! Nothings worse then sitting 30 minutes getting a beautiful henna design only for it to smudge everywhere.

I'm not sure if it's a dragon or a predator, but it's got a wand. Maybe it's a predator-dragon-wizard.

I made all sorts of flower crowns for this festival, this one's my favourite and the one I wore!

I still find it weird to think I have business cards.

Last one I swear, I was really proud of my booth this festival, it was the first time I had an actually booth and not just a small section on a table.

cheers!

Rowan

I know, I know, I'm getting overwhelmed!

I've been getting overwhelmed this past week or so! I know my posts have been lagging...starting next week we will be back on schedule!
For those of you who don't know, I work as a florist but am also a student. This time of year is when we starting opening the garden centre, meaning we lose employee there for the summer. Meaning we work double shifts. Yikes. Double shifts six days a week and being a student suck majorly.
So, as opposed to lose my career I decided to spend less time here.

I hope you all understand! I havn't forgotten about anything.

Peace.
Rowan.

Things I like: flower farms

Let's all just take a moment to appreciate flower farms. And just think, all these colours are natural! It's very rare to walk through nature and find such an abundance of such colours! Atleast in Canada, hello green!
Anyone who says these photos aren't breathtaking, are just wrong!
